About Aligned Digital Paths

Helping Small Businesses Find a Clearer Path Forward

I help small businesses make better use of the websites, content, and digital presence they already have.

Sometimes that means improving the structure of a website so search engines and customers can better understand it. Sometimes it means finding content that isn’t being fully used, strengthening local search visibility, or identifying opportunities that have been overlooked.

And sometimes the biggest problem is simply not knowing what to work on first.

That’s where I do some of my best work.

I enjoy looking at all the pieces, finding the connections between them, and turning what could feel overwhelming into a practical system and a clear path forward.

Aligned Digital Paths is a newer business, but my work with websites and digital marketing isn’t.

I began building websites and online resources in the early 2000s. What started with creating and managing my own websites grew into helping other small business owners establish and improve their online presence.

Over the years, I’ve worked with website development, WordPress, content management, SEO and search marketing, keyword and competitor research, website hosting, usability, reputation management, and digital training.

I also created and taught hands-on workshops and webinars to help small business owners understand and manage their own websites.

Technology has changed considerably since then. Search engines have changed. Websites have changed. Social media arrived. Local search became increasingly important. And now AI is changing how people discover businesses and information again.

But one thing has remained consistent in my work: I enjoy taking complicated technology and information and making it practical and useful for someone else.

Why I Created Aligned Digital Paths

I created Aligned Digital Paths to bring together the work I enjoy most: researching, organizing, troubleshooting, identifying opportunities, and helping people understand what to do next.

Today, that includes website structure, local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, content strategy, internal linking, search visibility, and practical uses of AI.

But I don’t believe every business needs to do everything.

A business can have dozens of things it could improve while only a handful deserve attention right now.

My job is to help identify those priorities.

You can see an example of this approach in my Revival Roofing website SEO and content strategy case study.

Practical Strategy Without the Overwhelm

I believe business owners should understand the recommendations they’re paying for.

That’s why I don’t want to hand someone a complicated report full of scores, warnings, and technical terminology without explaining what any of it means.

I would rather answer questions such as:

What is actually holding us back?
What opportunities are we overlooking?
What should we work on first?
What can wait?
What can we realistically maintain?

From there, we can create a practical path forward.

I also believe in teaching generously. I share what I know through articles, videos, checklists, and other resources because useful information shouldn’t always be hidden behind a sales pitch.

If you want to implement something yourself, I want you to have information that helps you do it.

And if you’d rather have someone help you sort through the pieces, build the system, or do the work, that’s where Aligned Digital Paths can help.

Start With Clarity

If you’ve been adding pages, publishing content, or trying different marketing ideas without stepping back to see how everything works together, you may not need another tactic.

You may need a clearer picture of what deserves your attention first.

The Digital Presence Audit + 30-Day Action Plan is designed to help you identify those priorities.
